In 1971 Saum Chiropractic Clinic began providing the highest quality chiropractic care for Columbus, MS, and the Golden Triangle. Dr. Shana Thomas began working with Saum Chiropractic Clinic in 2006 as an associate doctor. After Dr. Saum’s retirement in 2016, Dr. Thomas purchased the practice, and in 2018 Saum Chiropractic Clinic was rebranded as Flexx Chiropractic. The new brand carries with it a mission to change the way people think about healthcare. Chiropractic care is excellent preventive care and allows the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery. Flexx Chiropractic offers a unique and personal approach not only to help people get out of pain, but to move them to an opportunity where they can improve their quality of life. Flexx Chiropractic currently serves the Golden Triangle from its Columbus, MS.
Dr. Shana Thomas
Dr. Shana Thomas was raised in New Mexico until her family relocated to Louisiana where she graduated high school. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she studied microbiology and nutrition. In 2003, Dr. Thomas became Advanced Proficiency Rated in the Activator Method, and in 2005 she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College in South Carolina. After graduating she worked for Activator Methods Headquarters where she served as College Coordinator and assisted in the development of the company’s seminar curriculum. Later, she briefly returned to work in the New Orleans area before evacuating to Columbus, MS, when the practice where she formerly worked and her home were both destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Thomas has now called Columbus home since 2006. She is active in the community and has served as Board President & Vice President of the Link’d Young Professionals. She taught life enrichment courses at MUW and continuing education for dental hygienists. Dr. Thomas is also a former Rotarian and a 2011 graduate of Leadership Lowndes County Program coordinated by the Columbus Lowndes Camber of Commerce. Dr. Thomas is committed to serving others and frequently volunteers her time with her church, as well as multiple charities and civic organizations. She and her husband Zach enjoy strength training, walking their dog Cope, and traveling.
